Congratulations to all those who travelled to Trabolgan for the Munster schools orienteering championships.. In all the categories except 1st years, we entered some of the youngest competitors which shows promise for next year.
Laura B, Harry B, Charles C and Finlay E had top 10 finishes. The Senior girls team of Emma S, Meabh N, Molly O’S and Roisin L gained silver medals, narrowly beaten by the Ursuline. The Junior team lead by Jordan P (individual winner), Emma Pim, Aisling L and Grace T also won silver medals just behind St Mary’s Mallow.
Some of the most promising individuals have been invited to training with members of the Irish junior squad at Mahon Falls on March 25th planned by Neil Dobbs (Old Scholar). This should help improve their skills before the Irish schools event on April 27th at Castlecomer Discovery park.
