Sports Round Up – week ending 31/3/3017

Senior Boys Hockey

Commiserations to the Senior Boys Hockey team after losing the Munster final 5-2 to a strong Villiers side on Thursday.     The final was a great occasion and the experience will stand well to the players.   Well done on a good season and thank you to the coaches Stuart Greene and David Quinn.

Irish Water Safety

Congratulations to all of the members of the lifesaving team on passing their examinations on Wednesday, to Kim and Alex on passing their Rescue 2 exam, to Hugo, Andras and Laura on passing their Endurance 2 exam and a special well done to our new members, Melanie, Hannah and Lynda on their superb performance.  All of the students were complimented on their skill and technique throughout by our visiting examiner.

Junior Girls Hockey

The junior girls won their league final play off on Tuesday.  They beat a very competitive St Leo’s side.  1-1 at the end of full time, winning 2-1 in extra time.  Goals from Sally-Anne O’S and Ava K.   A fine team performance, a reward for all the hard work put in throughout the season.   Congratulations to the whole squad.

Inter Schools Hunter Trials

Well done to Lilias M, Aimee T and Orla T for their participation in the Inter Schools Hunter Trials on Saturday.    Congratulations also to Aimee and Orla on coming 6th in the pairs competition.  A great achievement.  A great day was enjoyed by all.
