It is lovely to be in the company of young people who actually use silence and who know that in silence you can find all sorts of things that help you cope with the day’s work or to reflect or simply just to be still.
Let’s come together to share memories of the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to a bright future here at Newtown School Waterford”
The history of Newtown School.
Time to reflect..
Our School history is full of stories and moments that are inspiring, uplifting, and occasionally fascinating tales and events. Over the years, thanks to the efforts of noteworthy individuals and groups, these narratives and occasions have been meticulously preserved and handed down. To be shared, learned from, and celebrated by all.

Digital Outreach Collaboration
SETU & Newtown School
In celebration of Newtown School’s 225th anniversary, we are currently working alongside SETU Libraries in digitising a number of artefacts from the school’s archives. These archives contain a wealth of information detailing the school’s history and house a number of unique artefacts, including a book from 1898 commemorating the school’s centenary anniversary.

Remembering..
Arnold Marsh & Hilda Roberts
An inspiring couple whose influence on education and the arts is still felt to this day.
Share you're memories
As we reflect on the past 225 years of Newtown School we would love to hear from our past pupils, teachers and staff members about your experience at Newtown and any fond memories which you wish to share. These memories and stories will then be featured on our website.
